CavsWatch: The History
Completely dismayed by the lack of coverage given to the
Cleveland Cavaliers in a Browns/Indians saturated market, Founder and President
Paul Clayton, set out to build CavsWatch ,a website devoted completely to the
fans. Aided by web guru Barry McBride, the idea was to scour the internet daily
in search of all relevant news on the Cavaliers that day. That original
site is still alive today in part on the present CavsWatch in the Daily
Newswire.
In September of 2003, still finding that the coverage around
the internet was not much better in quality or quantity, CavsWatch joined with
renowned basketball analyst Michael Young and started to move to it's present
day form. A real news source with real writers covering only the Cleveland
Cavaliers and the NBA.
In December of that year, Brian Hagerman joined the team
covering day to day operations of the club and post game articles. Bringing
together a team that had the ability to cover almost every aspect of the
Cavaliers. This addition was followed in April by the addition of Cleveland
Cavaliers beat writer and Sporting News writer, Bob
Finnan. The addition of Mr. Finnan adds an aspect of exclusive inside
information to the site that is not available anywhere else.
Although not a part of the Insiders Network, CavsWatch enjoys a
fruitful relationship and partnership with BerniesInsiders.com
and Fanhome.
With the goal of coming together to build the communities stronger and more
insightful for all Cleveland sports fans. With the release of this magazine, it
is another step in completing the goal of providing fans with all the
information they want to fulfill their need for Cavaliers news.
